Since I travel outside the country frequently, I was intrigued by how I might charge my iPod when in 3rd world countries or places with irregular power. This video suggests an electrolyte solution and a white onion. What? I'm going to have to test this out to see if it really works. What do you think?

hm, interesting. I did not get to listen to the video since my husband is asleep, but this makes me think of the clock we powered by a lemon....it may work, but I don't think the power produced will last very long....pretty cool though!
